Beyond

Beyond is a mod for The Binding of Isaac: Repentance that brings more than 60 items, 35 trinkets and 6 characters to the fray. The current version is 1.9! Most of the mod content is locked away behind 80+ achievements! The development of the mod is mostly over for now, unless I feel motivated again.

Since version 1.5.0, most of Beyond’s content is locked behind achievements. Some commands may be used to get hints towards achievements or to disable them altogether. Type "byd_commands" in the command line to get a list of the available commands.
Since version 1.7.0, Repentogon’s achievements tracking is also supported, both for characters and challenges marks.
Since version 1.9.0, the secret characters are readily available since a lot players wasn’t able to figure out the Crack the code challenge. The challenge is still available as a legacy content.

This mod requires the use of MiniMAPI to work properly. Please install it if you intend to fully enjoy the changes!
For tracking out your completion marks you may want to use Encyclopedia as well!

If you’re using another mod and are experiencing compatibility issues, feel free to tell us too! We might become compatible.

• Important note on multiplayer: after having launched the .exe, if your first game is a new run, multiplayer may be unavailable. Restart your run if this happens.
• Soul of Isaac/Glitched Crown effects are lost upon using an Air Stone (unsolvable)
• Bygone Zapper isn’t functional on some room types yet (defaults to normal rooms behaviors)
• Upon using Botte Secrète the VarData is lost (It’s not recommended to swap Jar of Wisps, DInf and some more items with an innate mechanics) (unsolvable)
• Balls of Steel as a Horse Pill doesn’t work well while at max health on Tainted Cross (unsolvable)
• After having generating too much red doors, the game won’t allow for more to be generated, this is likely to happen with Deadalus (unsolvable)
• Using Audience/Soul of Sin: exit and continue in those rooms is not supported (unsolvable)
