Steve: The Dull
My first character mod (and mod in general) it’s Steve! (not from minecraft)
Steve was based off of a comment on a youtube video called "weird isaac bug" written by Toaster Commander which read: "My copy of Isaac had a character named Steve, he has a mustache". I saw that comment, and here we are.
This is a very simple character mod, but I feel accomplished with it. (for now, that is. i plan on updating this mod with more stuff but for the time being, i rest)
This mod currently adds 1 new character and nothing else.
While I like to giddily explain in excruciating detail what every single thing in something I made does as the next guy, I feel that Isaac is a game of discovery and I feel explaining every single thing about it would take away from the magic of discovering it on your own. However, I do know there are people who feel the polar opposite, and so to satisfy both types of people, I’ll put anything that someone might want to discover on their own in spoiler text like this. Got it? Good.

no, seriously.
the only reason for this (other than my *very* limited experience with modding isaac) is because i realised that there’s no base game character that doesn’t have some kind of gimmic or starting item.
even cain, the posterchild for "no-frills isaac gameplay" start off with an item that negates negative pill effects, and a trinket. so i just decided that i’d do it myself.
There are many more things that I plan to add to this mod, some of which include:
- A tainted variant
- Unlocks (and new items/cards/etc)
- And other cool stuff B3
