This is a crude port of shaky_rivers and DrunkFlamingo’s "Turn-Time Destroyer" for Warhammer 3. I’ve added the WH3 major factions to the exempted factions. Enjoy!

How does it work
When you choose a faction, the mod draws a radius around your starting settlement like in the picture above. Everything within this radius stays the same and nothing changes. Outside of this radius any uninteresting minor factions are removed and their settlements turned to ruins which reduces the end turn time.

No major factions are removed, no lore important factions are removed E.g. Kislev lastly no racially unique factions to that region are removed E.g. Bowmen of Oreon. (You can see a list of exempt factions who are never removed on the discussions page)

Depending on what faction you play some of the factions that would have been removed aren’t e.g. Northern minor Bretonnian facfions when playing repanse or the area around the Dragon isles whilst playing Malus Darkblade.

Why???
We know from CA that most players don’t use much of the campaign map;

Another point is by the time you get to these distant lands quite often the Major factions have already destroyed them. So all the time you’re waiting for factions to process their turn who you will never encounter in a typical campaign is essentially a waste.

People have had some great results using the mod and I personally have had turn times reduced by 45%. The effects are greater for people with lower spec computers, but everyone will gain a reduction in turn times.

How to edit the mod
You can easily edit the mod yourself, if for example you want to remove a major faction, or you don’t want a certain minor faction to ever be removed. Open the mod using RFPM find the faction insert a two hyphens “–" if you want the faction removed and vice versa if you want it to stay. If you want to edit the radius search for "if distance > 240 then" change 240 to the number you want.

How about replacing some of the uninteresting minor factions removed by this mod with completely new races in OvN – Lost Factions
