Yuuko Aioi
Yuuko Aioi, the energetic lead of the manga and anime Nichijou, stumbles into the fray for the Extended Workshop’s Anime Jam! Although she’s just an ordinary schoolgirl, her definition of ordinary can be quite a problem for the opponent as an all-rounder who can, at times, be quite extraordinary.

Living on the edge of the most miserable luck ever and great fortune, most of Yuuko’s Specials have a “lucky” version that is enhanced. This is not true randomness, but rather every third use of her FSpec and USpec will be the lucky version, while DSpec cycles between projectiles in a fixed order, with the strongest version being the fourth in queue. Yuuko is able to enter a Lucky state in certain circumstances where she is surrounded by yellow sparkles and brimming with good karma, and while Lucky, her next Special move “ignores” the queue; allowing her to instantly use the luckiest version of that attack, although this can only be used once before the effect wears off, so you must choose the move wisely!
When eating a bento it’s nice to leave the best part of it for last, but when Yuuko proudly shows off an octopus-cut weenie, it slips off her chopsticks and jets into the sky as a projectile! The weenie is finicky, and gets knocked around by attacks from friend or foe, scaling in power the more it gets knocked around, as shown by the outline around it, which also makes hitting it even easier. Use a multihit like DAir on it to power it up fast!
While a weenie is out in the field, NSpecial instead becomes a move where Yuuko hops into the air and attempts to eat the weenie. If she successfully catches it, she’ll be so overjoyed she enters the Lucky state! You’ll get plenty of opportunities to try this, since the weenie bounces off the ground if it hits it, and as we all know the 3 second rule is sacred.
Yuuko’s other specials also interact with the weenie in different ways.
Yuuko jets forward at comically high speeds like a human torpedo, a technique pioneered by a certain Mio Naganohara who is terrible at all sports. Every third use of this move she is also filled with more of a gusto, or maybe just sheer rage, and rockets forward at even higher speeds in a misfire.
Misfire Torpedo Flop will become more powerful if it hits someone from the backside. If you hit a weenie with any version of your missile, it will jet forward instantly at max charge.
This move causes a falling object to, after a short while, fall from the sky right above Yuuko. If Yuuko does not dodge this falling debris, she can be damaged by it the same as the opponent. There is a fixed order for these objects: kokeshi, akabeko, salmon and shrine bell.
These small, simplistic yellow birds seem attracted to Yuuko, enough for her to name them Mogura, (a very bad name for a bird mind you, since it just means mole). A Mogura mother will try lifting Yuuko high into the air, although it’s quite the difficult task for a small bird. This is not that shabby of a recovery, but lacks a hitbox. On every third use, luckily enough the mother’s baby chicks will also help in the recovery, making it much better.
If a falling object from Down Special hits a Mogura it will violently explode. Hate when that happens. This grants Yuuko a bit of an extra vertical boost and gives the normally non-damaging move a hitbox.
Jab 3 cycles through rock, paper, and scissors in that order. When hitting the tako weenie with it, it maxes out its charge and launches it with unique physics depending on what is played.
Yuuko can adjust the trajectory of Nspecial by holding left or right during startup. The button on the CSS is a toggle that can change these inputs to up or down instead.
Yuuko has a standard taunt, a down taunt, and a "secret taunt". She can only access said "secret taunt" if she’s in an especially rough situation…
