Description:

Fleet has lost contact with a heavily fortified oasis base, and has sent in a team of Mobile Infantry to investigate. The situation is dire. Most of the base’s outer defeneses have been overrun, and a handful of civilian workers have armed themselves in preperation for the worst. Intelligence suggests the bugs are targeting the base’s main energy source: a power core at the center of the oasis. Your primary objective is to defend the power core at all cost. This base provides the Federation a vital foothold on the planet’s surface, at least until we have the means to expand and carry out further operations. Fleet is willing to provide whatever resources necessary to defend it, especially if you can make contact with the outer defenses to further your chances of success. Good luck, and live forever, apes.

This scenario is inspired by the map of the same name used in Halo Wars 2’s Terminus Firefight gamemode as part of the "Awakening the Nightmare" DLC. After each wave the number of enemies increases. Every 5 waves a new mutation will activate, at least up to wave 30. Capturing outposts and bases, as well as clearing waves, will reward you with supplies and war support. The more you expand, the better defenses you will unlock: such as machine gun bunkers and Wavebreaker cannons. Once you beat 100 waves, you win the game. This is my first scenario, so good luck, and I hope you have fun!
