Nice Spiders and Raptors
You are a Wanderer, or a Farmer Couple or a lone Farmer in the Burning Forest. You start at the Farm Ruin and are trying to slowly rebuld it. At the edge of the farm one day you spy a hurt spider and nurse it back to health and feed the raptors that come to the edge of your farm with seed and raw meat from hunting Beak Things in the desert.
The spider heals and three days later comes back with a group of spiders. You look on from the window of the ruined farmhouse and wonder if you did the right thing. When you go out to face your fate, the spiders crowd around you. But instead of attacking they start to haul pails of water, or to help you harvest the crops. They clean the farmhouse and clear the debris from the ramshackle destroyed farm buildings and cook roast beak thing over the campfire.
This is a wonder and a marvel. How wonderful this is. It is so much easier than all the horror and danger of fighting off wild animals in the middle of the night. 🙂
