an RPG style mod with moderate to hard difficulty
You start as an escaped slave somewhere on the map. Armed with only an iron stick you took from the guard you knocked unconscious with a rock when you fled the slave camp. You ran through the night until dawn and found shelter.You have no supplies and are malnourished from the confinement in the slave camp, but you are free!
You are headed for Dreg and the Settled Nomad Village there where your parents, Abu and Neer Raksham and your sister Selea reside.
I have trimmed back the number of starts to the most essential.
There are four starts in this mod.
1. Hard Run – Start out in one of five hard to stay alive cities. Cannibal Village, Shark, Mongrel in the Foglands, the Waystation Ruins or Bast.
2. Random Run – Puts you without supplies and only an iron stick as a weapon somewhere on the map.

Version 8 adds a whole list of Farming and Building skills in the Build Menu that you can now do in the Wilds without having to visit a city, or without having to build an outpost. I have tried to keep it convenient, but also useable. Now you can play the game in the wilds from the start and survive without making an outpost. Not all the techs beyond the first level will keep you free from creating an outpost. But with those that are have enough to keep you in the wilds and out of the cities if you want.
Included is Farming in the wilds and on the run, make medkits from plant fiber bandages and healing plants found in the wild. Cook plants for food and make bread from plant fiber. Catch Squirrels and skin them for meat and animal skins. Catch fish with a homemade net in the wilds. Pick Berries and make food-cubes from bread and berries.
Cook fish and gather loose stones if you don’t have immediate access to a stone mine. Build building materials out of stone with primitive work benches, but it works. Weave fabric on portable work tables made from scrap wood found in the wild. Gather sticks and make splintkits from plant fiber bandages and healing plants.
Gather plants, when you don’t want to build a whole field and farm them on a mass scale. Just take a wooden bowl and go out and gather them off the ground. Make Iron plates and Copper alloy plates from primitive large campfires that melt the ore and give you room to reform the cooling metal into plates.
There is a small barrel for storage and Market Tent, Market Tent Big, Market Tent Long, Market Tent Small, Mercenary Tent all buildable from the start. And a Scrap Tent that can be made from animal skins you get in the wild.
There is a Small Research Table that can be used for first level research outside and doesn’t require a building to be built. There is also Hidden Storage, a barrel that has been disguised as a pile of rocks that is good for hiding caches of supplies around the map. And a sitting pillow, for resting and eating but not sleeping.
Version 8.1 just corrects some small mis-spellings and adds a few building requirements to the scrap tent and iron processor that makes iron plates, though the large campfires used to make iron and copper plates are still available.
