Realistic Javelin Ranges
This mod gives the javelin wielded by humans more realistic ranges, a maximum of 80 metres. This range was chosen for the following reasons:
– The world record for a javelin throw is 104.80 metres.
– Rather than throwing javelins in calm and peaceful conditions, your warriors are in a life-or-death battle where they can’t afford to waste ammunition on a long shot.
– Javelins have a maximum range of 80 metres in Rome II: Total War, which just feels right to me.
This mod does not impact the javelins that are only wielded by mythological creatures in the Mythos DLC, as I believe it is reasonable for creatures such as Centaurs and Giants to outperform humans when it comes to throwing stuff.
