Improved Cargo Drops
This mod expands the cargo drops from sunken vessels by additional items like Scrap Metal, Spare Parts, Medkits, Coffee and Ammunition.
Disclaimer: the mod is still work in progress, therefore you might encounter some bugs. If you find any unexpected behavior, please report it in the discussion below.
b31, and 2022.1, no new career is needed and mod is savegame compatible.
It should be possible to unsubscribe as you wish, without any harm to your career progress.
No compatibility problems with other mods found so far. Mod is not changing anything in the data sheets.
► As per description, there is now chance, that ships will drop additional useful items upon sinking.
► Most of the additional drops are rather rare, except for the Scrap Metal.
► There is still high chance that the standard food items from the cargo drop as well.
► Mod does not affect the loot retrieved from wrecks by diving to them.
► Ammunition can only drop from warships.
► The coffee fished from the sea does not go into officer locker, but in the general storage. This is a side effect of how the stuff is retrieved from the deck crate and might be fixed later. You can still drink the coffee by right clicking on it, so there is not really any problem with this.
I would very appreciate your feedback and suggestions, if you have some idea, do not hesitate to write in the comments. I am also very interested in hearing if the rarity of the drops feels OK. I do not want to put spoiler with the drop chances here, but if you are interested, write me and I will post it (or you simply have look in the mod sources 🙂
Not directly related to the mod, but I have noticed few issues of cargo spawning during my testing.
The cargo crates tend to be sometimes stuck in the wreck and do not float to the surface / disappear.
Floating cargo crates seems to sink after some time, have not looked in the game code if this is intentional or not.
You will sometimes find empty crates, this is normal and intended.
