This modification is a work of fiction, and is loosely based on real world history. The groups, characters, places, names and events in this modification are fictional.

Paid in Blood is a project focusing on the Horizon Islands Republic from the 1960s to the 1980s, and takes numerous creative liberties in an attempt to flesh out the island nation at the height of the Vietnam War. At this time, the plan is for Paid in Blood to focus on the Tanoan contribution to the Vietnam War, fighting alongside the forces of the United States of America, Australia and more.

By design, Paid in Blood utilises S.O.G. Prairie Fire by Savage Game Design and Service & Supply by simcardo and team. All are essential to Paid in Blood, and I am immensely appreciative for the fantastic work they have done.

Horizon Islands Defense Force

The Horizon Islands Defense Force was established in 1948 following independence from France. Having previously been liberated by American and Australian forces during the Second World War, the island nation swiftly forged defensive ties to these countries – what followed was an influx in new equipment and operational techniques that saw the the HIDF modernise far quicker than other Pacific Island nations. When the Vietnam War broke out it was inevitable that the Horizon Islands would send forces to assist.
