Bytz Better War Lions
Because I played an Eltharion campaign recently, I came to the conclusion most people have: War Lions kinda suck.
They’re not durable enough to engage infantry, don’t deal enough damage to morale shock archers, are not as fast as your other pursuit units, and require a building that you probably won’t get.
This mod aims to fix three of those four problems. To do it, War Lions have recieved a buff to their melee attack and defense, as well as charge bonus, armor, and weapon strength. They also gained a bit of missile resistance to be in line with White Lion units, because I think it’s stupid for their pelts to provide less protection to them than to the people wearing them.
To compensate for how much more powerful they are, their price has been increased by ~15% to keep them in line with the High Elven habit of gratuitously expensive units.
To put in perspective how much different they perform: a vanilla War Lions vs. an Empire Swordsman is a toss up that can go either way. With these buffs they can almost beat Greatswords.
