Bytz Better White Lions
The White Lions are in an awkward place in the High Elven roster right now. Since the release of Grim and the Grom, the poor bodyguards of the Phoenix King don’t have a great role to fill, with their damage dealing role being overtaken by the Ranger and their high-armor role being stolen by the Silverin Guard, there’s little reason to go out of your way to get White Lions.

This completely changes the way White Lions function, turning them into an analogue to Aspiring Champions. With few models, but more power per model, these units now feel like the elite warriors they’re meant to be. To hammer this home further, both versions of the White Lion get the Guardian ability, as well as Martial Mastery, and a new ability granting a hefty Physical Resistance when facing a lord or hero.
Additionally this makes a handful of small tweaks to Alastar’s skills that effect White Lions, increasing the melee defense and bonus vs large they receive, as well as giving all the Chracian regional units vanguard deployment.
To balance all that out, White Lions are now much more expensive with a recruit cost of 1100 for the basic version and 1500 for the ROR.
Designed to work with Arthanor’s 5th Ed White Lions. Which will provide White Lions with two nifty passive special abilities.
