S140L – Compact Ultralight Aircraft
The S140L is a powerful yet compact ultralight plane that combines the freedom of flying in open air with agility and performance. It has a top speed of 165 knots and a range of over 100 km. It uses a powerful 8 cylinder modular engine to propel itself. It costs just under $4000 and weighs just under 300 kg, making it ideal for a cheap yet fun aircraft that you can cruise around in.
To startup the aircraft, press 1 to turn on the engine and gradually increase the throttle to taxi out to the runway. For an optimal takeoff, make sure to slowly throttle up and hold up until it lifts off. For landing, slowly throttle down and apply the brakes by pressing 2. Flying level is made easy due to a custom internal gyro. Please note that this is aircraft is an ultralight and that the throttle can be extremely sensitive. Sudden increases in throttle could result in instability or an unsuccessful takeoff/landing. Make sure to be gradual and not to apply too much throttle at once.
To refuel the aircraft there is a cable anchor located behind the propeller. Make sure that the engine is fully off when doing so. The plane also has navigation lights and a spotlight that you can turn on by pressing 3 and 4 respectively.
