  • Looking for more unique road names than just mindlessly numbering up, but not willing to write in over a hundred names every play through?

This mod is for you!


What are the names like?

The names included range from serious and rooted in lore, using Dwarven language to enhance the experience, to silly jokes and gags good for a laugh when you find them. Many of the names borrow from the holds nearby, either directly or indirectly, to help give them intuitive locations. Many roads have names relating to the lore of the areas, from flavor text in obscure menus to mission descriptions, to help enhance the immersion and experience. Some are, of course, silly and amusing, from obscure references and inside jokes to obvious memes, and even some that are a bit of both.

I booted the game with the mod installed but the names are still the same!

This mod doesn’t change the base names of the provinces, but adds a player only decision to change the names.

I’ve decided that I don’t like the names, is my save over?

Nope! There’s another decision that only shows up when you have the custom names enabled that resets the province names to normal.

Great, even more events to sort though when all my Anbennar games have a massive list of disabled events already!

Nope! After you decide what set of names you want to keep for the save you can use the ‘Remove Renaming Events’ Decision to permanently hide every decision this mod has for the rest of the save

Is this Steam only, or will it work with BitBucket releases too?

It works with any up to date version of Anbennar, Steam or BitBucket, and will continue working even through future updates (unless one of them specifically overhauls the Dwarovar Map)

Do I need to start a new game to get these names?

Nope! This mod can be added and removed to any current Anbennar save with absolutely no issues and at any time!

Is this compatible with X submod?

Yup! This is compatible with just about any and every mod you could run with Anbennar due to the use of decisions.

Will this work in multi-player?

Yes, however every player will be able to see those decisions, and because they use global flags if one player disables the decisions they are disabled for everyone. For this reason, the host should tell other players not to touch the events, or use and then disable them in a 1444 save that doesn’t unpause to ensure they are the name set you want.
