Description:

Vanilla ship scaling is a bit weird. The bigger the ship, the less space efficient they are with fewer nose modules per nose surface area, fewer hull modules per side surface area, and fewer total modules per volume. They suffer from diseconomies of scale.

This mod normalizes scaling by calculating appropriate ship size based on the same nose modules per nose surface area, hull modules per side surface area, and total modules per volume. Crew count, mass, hull integrity, and build time are also changed to scale with hull volume.

All ships also get +2 utility slots because I feel hydron trap and antimatter spiker are must-haves in the late game. +2 Utilities should make fitting smaller ships easier.

Alien ships also get similar changes with better ratios.

Overall effects: small ships are significantly bigger and heavier than before, while bigger ships are smaller.

Alien also has a much, much faster ship construction time for most ships. (except Mothership which is far slower instead)

PS: Numbers and calculations are in the Excel file attached in the mod folder.

PS2: I haven’t got around to modifying the spaceship templates yet. So, skirmish/AI might not be use the +2 utility slots. Might get to that later.
