Several engineering vehicles ported from Operation Flashpoint including an IMR-1 and excavator. Original IMR-1 file created by CiHii and Malkazar Balander and released as open source on "Operation Flashpoint Forever" group on VK. Original owner of Excavator is Din. Since these vehicles are from a game almost 25 years old, the models are not of the highest resolution and have their fair share of bugs. Updated 6/8/2023 to add construction attachments, improve AI drivability, and renamed some assets. Features:
-Excavator and IMR use boxloader and can transport item/vehicles around like a forklift
-IMR has interiors for the gunner and driver. Gunner may fire while turned out.
-IMR dozer blade can be raised and lowered by using the main gun’s elevation (I suck at animating, so this is the only way I could get it to work)
-Excavator’s arm turns like a turret and can smack around other vehicles. It can also be used to "right" tipped vehicles.
-Inluded a test boxloader pallet for larger vehicles as well as a virtual "5th wheel" hitch system utilizing RHSUSAF DEV’s new towing mechanism to allow tractor-trailer setups (will release a composition soon for a tank transporter: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3014574455)
-Added contruction attachments for flatbed vehicle (us attachto function to convert vehicles to various construction variants). Cement mixer, large crane, and small crane added. Assets based off of 4spirin [4RTech], _XeTeX_[4RTech] NERV, and OFP-MAN’s Operation Flashpoint "People’s Kraz trucks" models.
-Added improved extended tow hitch attachment (no more using PLP materials and tires to make a tow hitch for tractors) and added a tank transporter platform with no geometry or physicx to improve AI’s driving behavior (the GM half bridge’s geometry made AI drivers swerve when driving). Tow platform based off of Lex-OFP and Sapper’s ChMZAP-5247 and TZ-60 trailers.
Bugs:
-OFP quality models. Only 1 LOD for the IMR and no RVMAPs. No destroyed models either.
-The commander clips on the IMR and Excavator. Don’t bother staffing a commander, just use a gunner and driver.
-The fire geometery is not accurate. These were not intended as combat vehicles (though the gunner for IMR can fire while turned out), more intended for ambience and RP missions.
-They’re not signed (I dont know how to sign mods)
-Not tested in MP
-I cannot figure out how to group the boxloader memorypoints with the turret. When carring objects, keep the turret facing forwards otherwise you’re going to have a floating object. IMR’s arm does not move, only the dozer blade (up and down by elevating the main gun)
-probably a ton of other bugs I forgot to mention.
-Contruction attachments do not have any animations. They’re purely astectic.
-When AI driver’s drive a tractor-trailor vehicle, they might swerve based on whatever cargo you carry (if the cargo has geometry of physicx, the driver will think they’re about to be passed by another vehicle and will pull over to the right of the road). I removed the geometery from the VIV pallet attachments and the tank transporter platform to fix this, but if you load cargo, I recomend using object from ACD’s object addon as they do not have physicx to interfere with AI driving. I added a green long shipping container with no geometry to use as trailer cargo hauled by AI drivers.
