Blockade Runner
Not copied from a certain historical vessel, but inspired by blockade runners from the american civil war.
a blockade runner is any sort of ship whose main purpose is to slip past blockades. due to her quick speed (because steam engines are holy) and slim stature, this vessel managed to fit the role so well that she was unlucky enough to be hired into the confederate army to slip through the union blockades.
you can easily destroy the ironclad with this beauty in battle due to the heavy armour (she is also clad in iron, which does well to explain the ugly shade of gray for a hull) and powerful guns,however any attempt to engage the Cleveland will either be met with total carnage on your side at close range or a stalemate at long range because the outdated engine is too slow for the Cleveland.
