French Tradeship
a french trade-ship of the 1800’s, not modeled after any particular historical vessel.
this trade-ship, specifically made for transport of large cargo pieces, is a Double-Masted french frigate that dates to about the 1820’s to 1870’s. this ship, again, was not based off of any particular vessel from history, so I used my creative liberties.
it could be a Whaling Balener in the North Sea, a Spice Runner from the East Indies, or a Material Trader from the Caribbean. This is the magic of this workshop piece, as it could be whatever you want. Kind of a cheesy concept, but i decided over it none-the-less.
Fun fact: it was originally intended as a Bomber-Vessel (Bomb-ship), which has a mortar platform on it’s main deck. however, due to whatever reason I’ve forgotten (i haven’t worked on this vessel in a few months), i changed the ship to a trading vessel.
godspeed lads i’m not dead and i don’t plan on dying, to anybody who cares. this post is late because schooling decided that my schedule should be as taught as a ship’s bowline on a rough gale. yar har.
