Rivalries of the Warhammer World
In the vanilla game, Settra and Surtha Ek gain unique traits for defeating each other, indicating a rivalry based animosity to each other. So why aren’t more established rivalries in place? This mod adds a whole bunch of rivalry traits for characters to gain for defeating other legendary lords or for frequently defeating certain subcultures.
To get the trait for defeating a Legendary Lord, a character only has to do so once. To get the trait for defeating certain subcultures, a character has to do so 10 times which is twice as many times to get the vanilla "Hates ______" trait. To get the negative traits for defeating a specific subculture, one has to do so only 5 times. I couldn’t get the traits for Belegar, Skarsnik and Queek defeating the other two in the trio to show up immediately after fulfilling its requirements. It’ll show up after the next battle victory is gained or at the end of the factions turn.
The traits can be divided into three sets. The first is Canon Traits that are all based on canon animosities between legendary lords or between legendary lords and specific subcultures. The second is Broken Friendships which are mostly negative traits that can be gained from breaking important friendships in the setting. These are inspired by the Bretonnian Traitor and Villain traits that can be gained by defeating Louen Leoncouer and Bretonnian factions while playing as Bretonnia. The third is Meme Traits which are based on animosities that are formed from memes instead of anything canon. If one doesn’t want to use one or two of the trait sets, they can shut them off with the Mod Configuration Tool. Without it, all three will be active at once.
