Description:

In 1993 Ge built the first batch of main line locomotives. Originally known as the AMD-103 or Amtrak Monocoque Diesel – 103 (mph), these sleek new locos took over long distance routes. The design by Cesar Vergara -fun fact: also designed the swedish X2000- was a full 14 inches lower (~35cm) than the F40ph, which allowed it to travel even through the NECs tight clearances. They came in a stylish Amtrak Phase 3 scheme with stripes fading out to the back of the locomotive.

Includes the 4000 hp (2650 kW) GE P40DC in 9 versions:
Phase 3:
802
812
835
840
Phase 3 but P42 scheme:
811
Phase 4:
801
817
819
836
