More Colonial Regions
Tired of conquering the same old colonial regions in Europa Universalis 4? Look no further! This mod adds a plethora of new colonial regions to explore and conquer, bringing a fresh experience to your game.
With this mod, you and your friends can satisfy your colonial ambitions with a wider array of possible colonies. It’s perfect for nations that enter the run on the colonies relatively late, when all the good stuff in the new world has already been grabbed. You can do a Treaty of Tortillas for the whole world with your friends with this mod!
What’s great is that this mod has little impact on AI empires, as they tend to lose their stuff in Africa to Mali or the Cape Colonies to other adjacent tribes. The true impact of the mod will be felt in the later stages of the game, in Polynesia or beyond 1750, when former colonizers take back their colonies using nationalism CB.
Please note that the same rules apply for colonization as in the New World. If your capital is on the same continent, you won’t get colonies on that continent. If you’re playing as something like the Ottomans and your capital is in Europe, you might end up with an Ottoman Arabian Pensinsula colony.
Just keep this in mind while playing.
This mod is compatible with almost everything, as long as you’re not playing a mod that changes or adds province IDs in the colonial regions.
Mods that change how you interact with normal colonies should work fine.
The mod is currently available in English and German translations and has been updated for patch 1.35.*
