40mm Gas Grenade Examples
Disclaimer: This mod just exists as a template for other modders, it does not functionally add these grenades to your game as it contains no lootdef. DO NOT SUBSCRIBE if you have no interest in modding.
Currently there’s an oversight in the 40mm grenade code. It does not pass the aoeType parameter on, meaning that no matter how hard you try, an MGL will never have functioning gas grenades. This mod contains a simple script that overwrites the existing heavy weapons mod with a fix, and a few example 40mm grenades. Simply open this mod in your own mod editor, and copy the HeavyWeaponsGAAPChanges script to your own project.
Please note that while the aoe fields do work, the animations are inherited from regular grenades. This isn’t a huge deal in my opinion, but it does mean that the Incendiary makes the same sound of glass breaking as a Molotov.
