History:
Chu was a state of the Spring and Autumn Periods and Warring States, established on the Yangtze River. Chu was annexed by Qin in 223 BC. It was formed in antiquity by the expansion of the Han to the south in the areas occupied by the ethnic Miao who kept very ancient rites and beliefs. Originally known as Jing, then Jingchu, this state occupied at the peak of its power vast expanses of territory including the present provinces of Hunan, Hubei, Chongqing, Henan and parts of Jiangsu. The country of Chu behaved arrogantly towards the neighboring states, because it believed that none of these states was able to defeat it. Based on archaeological discoveries, it can be seen that the Chu culture was at first quite similar to that of the other Zhou States of the Yellow River Basin. Subsequently, the Chu culture absorbs the indigenous elements of the Baiyue and has become a distinct culture of the northern plains states. Chu was often in contact with other peoples in the south, including Ba, Yue, and Baiyue. Many burials and burial objects in Ba and Yue styles were discovered on Chu territory, co-existing with Chu burials of style and funerary objects.Compatible with Rise and Fall.Mod Support:Ynaemp (Giant, Greatest, LargestEarthCustom, SouthEastAsia and Cordiform)
