Description:

Yoshino Maru is a twin screw steam tugboat, built in 1947 and operated by the Ministry of Railways. It was commonly called an auxiliary steamship. While it is a tugboat, it was also engaged in the transfer of the replacement crew to the railway ferry, maintenance of route signs, and port cleaning.

This tug is an improved version of the earlier Tetsuei maru class, being equipped with a Kort Nozzle to increase the thrust. It was removed from service in the 1970s alongside the other tugs due to the introduction of more modern tugs.

(It is a fictional tug heavily based off the Esashi Maru).
