Description:

The EMD GP38-2 is an American four-axle diesel-electric locomotive built by General Motors, Electro-Motive Division. Part of the EMD Dash 2 line, the GP38-2 was an upgraded version of the earlier GP38.
Power is provided by an EMD 645E 16-cylinder engine, which generates 2,000 horsepower (1.5 MW).

• GTW GP38-2 5731 & 5732 Ex-MP GP38-2 888 & 870 in GTW Blue available at 1980 and retires in 1990.
• GTW GP38-2 4931 & 4932 Exx-GTW GP38-2 5731 & 5732, Ex-MP GP38-2 888 & 870 in GTW Blue available at 1990 and retires in 1997.
• GTW GP38-2 5844 & 5845 in PL&E Black available at 1985 and retires in 1990.
• GTW GP38-2 5844 & 5845 in GTW Blue available at 1990 and retires in 1997.
• GTW GP38-2 5850 & 5851 in CRIP Blue available at 1980 and retires in 1990.
• GTW GP38-2 5850 & 5851 in GTW Blue available at 1990 and retires in 1997.
• GTW GP38-2 6221 & 6222 in DT&I Orange with GT Patch available at 1980 and retires in 1990.
• GTW GP38-2 6221 & 6222 in GTW Blue available at 1990 and retires in 1997.
