Relationships with idols require maintenance
– In Unfair and Normal mode, player relationships with girls decay each week so you have to talk to them sometimes. -2 to +1 to influence each week depending on salary satisfaction. -1 each week to romance (lose a level every ~2 years). -2 each week to friendship (lose a level every ~1 year).
