British Rail Standard Class 7
Unlocks in 1951, end year 1975
The Standard Class 7, known as the ‘Britannias’, was British Rail’s effort to combine the best locomotive design aspects from the ‘big 4’ pre-nationalisation British railway companies. They were fast and powerful, suited to both passenger and freight work. They were well liked by their crews.
55 were built, 2 survived into preservation, including no. 70000 ‘Britannia’, the first of her class.

Known issues:
-The wheels are turning faster than the rods!
—- Yeah, I know. The game now seems to turn wheels slightly faster than generated connecting rod animations. I might fix it manually one day but it takes a lot of keyframing.
-The smoke flickers a bit sometimes!
—- Yeah, I know. The game isn’t very good at rendering things through things. So if you try to make your smoke a bit colourful (by having more than 1 emitter in different colours), they can end up flickering a bit. Most of the time it’s ok.
