Map of the Isle of Wight & Hampshire Coast
Previously home to an extensive steam network, the island is now reduced to two lines; the 3rd rail Island Line which is part of the british rail network running down the east coast of the island from Ryde to Shanklin (terminating at Ventnor in it’s golden years) and a heratage steam railway running from Wootten to Smallbrook junction skirting the south of Ryde. The bulk of public transport on the island is handled by bus.
The Hampshire coast is also included allowing you to run ferries, in the real world these run between Ryde & Portsmouth, Cowes & Southampton as well as Yarmouth & Lymington. There’s also plenty of room to run sections of the East Coastway & South Western Main Lines.
No Initial Roads is recommended.
