If we believe Victor ‘the Count’ Danesti, he is a once-promising young Romanian nobleman. True or not, his insatiable bloodlust led him down the dark and perilous path of a gun for hire.
With less emphasis on the gun part… since Danesti, despite his age, already has a questionable reputation for preferring to ‘sea the white in their eyes as they die’.
Beneath layers of brutality, a complex individual emerges. One whose bloodlust barely conceals a myriad of mental issues & ghosts of a tragic past. The decision to become a gun for hire was as much an act of self-exile as it was an indulgence of his violent urges.
