City-State Trait: Land Units fighting on coastal tiles get +10 Combat Strength.

City-State Type: Militaristic

History:
Canter’r Gwaelod was located between the islands of Ramsey and Bardsey, in the area now known as Cardigan’s Bay. According to legend, the city had a very fertile land, and an acre of land was worth much more than in other Welsh cities. But Gwaelod was dependent on its dam, which protected it from the sea. When the tide was withdrawn, the locks were open for the water to flow, and during the high tide they were closed. Many believe that the city still exists today, and rumor has it that some are trying to organize an underwater expedition to find it. On the surface of the water, if the weather is stormy and the tide is low, you can see the remains of a petrified forest. In these fossils were found footprints of men and animals.
