Tired of shiny bald skulls and exposed hammerheads? Ever wonder why skeletons are incapable of throwing baskets over their heads? Step right up and be amazed by our new AI and Queen-approved programming. Introducing HATS! Wearable ones! Now you and your robotic loved ones can enjoy shade on the go.

Skeleton and Soldier Hats enables playable skeletons and hive soldiers to wear certain hats and helmets. I combed through all the different headpieces in the game to see which of them fit the models.

Reasoning

I didn’t permit every helmet. A good number of them just don’t fit, leading to horrific clipping and immersion breaking. I’m not a modeler, so I’m not capable of making them work either. The ones I did allow either make sense or just look good to me. This is purely subjective. Sometimes even a clipping helmet can end up looking good to me, such as the Mask Type III on the P4 Unit, and so I allowed it.

I encourage anyone with different tastes to load my mod up in the FCS and tweak it to your liking. All you have to adjust are the race exclusion lists of the armors themselves.

Compatibility

This mod doesn’t change any models or textures. It only changes the "no hats" value in the race sheet and the race exclusion lists of various armors. It may conflict with any other mod that seeks the same goal.

Be aware that any other mod that adds new helmets are unaffected. This means that skeletons and soldiers will probably be able to wear any of them regardless of how well they fit, unless the modder used the race inclusion/exclusion lists already.

Enjoy.
