Description:

Jarrmarine Presents…

JM "Fairhaven"-Class Destroyer
DD40 Series

After some years in service, the Lt.Albeys proved too big for their role of accesible and cheap destroyers, and if was found their hulls were better suited to conversions into more expensive types of ships like guided missile destroyers or cruisers. With the cancellation of the modernization program for the "Emerald Bay"-class, a new hull was developed with modularity in mind, smaller and more suited to conversions into corvettes or frigates. The smaller size allowed the rest of the budget to be spent on modernization, like an updated bridge⁴, an automatic countermeasure system and more advanced targeting systems.
These new ships were to be named after the cities and towns of the Jarrrepublic. Names of generals and officers would instead be used for guided missile destroyers and cruisers in the future.

6 ships were commisioned:
-JRN "Fairhaven" (DD-41)
-JRN "Eldenbrook" (DD-42)
-JRN "Saffronport" (DD-43)
-JRN "Ravenshire" (DD-44)
-JRN "Dunsworth" (DD-45)
-JRN "Falconreach" (DD-46)
