Description:
Introduction

It is 1884 in Japan. Years after the first Boshin war when Japan saw a 15-year era of prosperity, the clans have once again split apart. There are those who still want a united Japan in the name of the Emperor and those who want to return to the old feudal system and reinstate the Shogunate.

As the war rages on it is your time to return to your favourite faction and embark upon a exciting journey that will take you through the new and modernised Japan. Fight with new units, tactics and weaponry. Expand your economy by constructing new and changed buildings, or attempt to get your hands on a oil well and revel in your new-found economic success.

This mod only works for the Fall of the Samurai campaign. It is also recommended you don’t run any other large-scale overhaul mods alongside this.

The mod in the mod manager is called ” WHATTOCALL

Thanks goes out too The_Yogi, for allowing me to use his Maxim Gun in my mod. He also does some other excellent mods for Total War games.

The Mod

Naval
~~~~~
1. Naval units have been reworked in terms of hull points and ranged weaponry in an attempt to make naval combat more realistic.
2. There are now three new naval units: a Mine Corvette, a Antiku Class Ship and a Dreadnought Class Ship.
3. A new naval ability allows you to lay traps out of the deployment area.
Land
~~~~~

1. No stone left unturned, there are no vanilla units from the base game.

2. Some factions have access to unique units.

5. Many units have new abilities, that if used correctly, can turn the course of a battle. For example: if the engineers are stationary for one turn, they can construct defences for your troops.

6. The spacing of the units has been adjusted to mimic new warfare tactics, improving on the old rank and file approach.

7. However, there are those who still desperately cling to the old way of Japan, fighting traditionally in rank and file. They tend to be hardened veterans from the first Boshin war.

3. The Type 31 Mountain Gun is a long-range howitzer that launches an explosive shell. Its main capabillity is to soften up the enemy on the long approach and provide fire support on the battlefield.
