Description:
"The sunset is flying together with lonely wild goose, and the autumn water connected the sky at the horizon forming a unity."
– Wang Bo

Located on the east bank of the Gan River in Nanchang, the Pavilion of Prince Teng earned its namesake from its builder Li Yuanying, Emperor Gaozu of Tang’s twenty-second son enfeoffed as Prince Teng. The wooden pavilion was vulnerable to fire and thus rebuilt many times, and earned its fame from the many literary works that describe its spectacular architecture and stunning scenery. When Pavilion of Prince Teng was rebuilt for the first time, twenty years after its construction, the rebuilder Yan Boyu celebrated the event with a banquet for the literati. Wang Bo, a poet traveling through this region at that time, wrote the famous "Preface to Pavilion of Prince Teng" during the banquet. Thanks to his masterpiece, the Pavilion has since become a renowned landmark in Jiangxi region. The last reconstruction of Pavilion of Prince Teng was completed in 1989, according to the design plan of architect Liang Sicheng to reproduce the archaic pavilion structure of "three floors exposed outside, seven stories actually inside".

Notes
  • I am fully aware there are hundreds of poets of the Tang Dynasty, and this mod just adds poets from the Early Tang to fit with the theme. I am going to publish more Great Writers, so please be patient.
  • Like Chen Lin, Luo Binwang would still write his famous proclaimation even if recruited by Wu Zetian. Now Wu Zetian has her special cure for headache.
