The Landing Craft, Vehicle, Tank or LCVT for short was developed in the early 1940s to transport tanks, vehicles, or anything that could fit in it for beachhead operations.
Operating this vehicle is fairly simple, as everything is labelled.

Startup Procedure
- Make your way aft and enter the wheelhouse.
- Flip the two electricity breaker switches
- Turn the engine key
- Get on the helm & give it some throttle (Engine will not start without any)
- Wait for the engine to crank over
- That’s it!
Beachhead Landing Procedure
- Get near the beach (obviously)
- Wait until you’re about half a ship-length away from the shore and then throttle down
- Gently set the ship on the beach (as well as you can)
- Immediately turn the engine off
- Either lower the ramp from the wheelhouse or press the button in the bow of the ship (port side)
- You’re all set! Storm those beaches!
