[1.11 Update] Meat & Mechs: A Bio/Steampunk Mod
"As the stakes grow the question is, do you oil your warmachines? Or do you feed them?"
When Charles Darwin discovered evolution, our understanding of the natural world was greatly expanded. However, it would be his discovery of Life Threads (known in the scientific community as DNA,) that would be most remembered. For through the manipulation of Life Threads, mankind could colonize and exploit the animal kingdom itself.
However, some question the moral and religious implications of such wanton God-playing. Thankfully, the Mechanical Walker (Also known as the Mech,) would be invented and serve as a righteous alternative to Darwinist abominations.
The year is 1836. The next 100 years will be those of great change. How will you respond to these new technologies?

Inspired by the video game Iron Harvest, the HoI4 mod Pax Britannica, and (honestly mainly by,) the Book Trilogy Leviathan by Scott Westerfeld, this mod adds Mechs and Genetically-modified beasts and incorporates them into the industry and warfare of Victoria 3.
ADDITIONS:
-New production methods for mines, farms, urban centers, etc.: Spike crop yields with GMOs, or see the streets of London light up with bioluminescent lamps!
-New methods for army and navy buildings: March dreadnoughts on land, or let slip the dogs of war!
-New Building, Darwinist Labs
-Reskins and re-localizations, mainly to goods and events to replace automobiles with “walkers” but also has miscellaneous replacements.
1.11 Update:
-Made game now compatible with 1.11
-Added a new company for Austria, "Habsburg Royal Stormwalker Armory"
-Added prestige good, "Cyklop Stormwalker"
Political Update:
-New law group, "Fabricated Beasts," which allows you go from no restriction all the way to luddite-like ban on Darwinist Labs and PMs that use fabricated beasts.
-New event that gives the new "Clanker" and "Darwinist" ideologies to certain interest groups. In order to get this event, you have to get a precursor event. You get this precursor event by having the "advanced life thread modification" production method in agriculture/ranching. Both of these one-time events have a 25% chance of occurring every 6 months after their conditions are met.
