Underground Train Station
Do you hate to destroy half of city in order to fit a train station with some decent catchment area?
Or you simply miss underground stations which are found in many cities around the globe?
Well,
here it is, fully functional underground passengers train station!
On ground there is only main building and road connection. Train station is also bundled with bus/tram stop if you would like to use it.
There are actually 3 models – the same as in original game with their respective time periods.
Station uses typical settings:
– Lengths: 80m, 160m, 240m, 320m,
– Tracks: 1-8
– Track types: regular and high speed
– Catenary: yes/no
Please note that tracks are added to station with unusual algorithm – 2nd is further, 3rd is closer, 4th is even further, and 5th is closer etc. This is to keep station icon in more or less same space and not over some other building :).
Underground platforms are as long as tracks length selected – in case it matter for station capacity – it should be the same as vanilla.
Zooming all the way in helps to stick more tracks to existing tunnels.
Be careful if you want to delete underground tracks – point you camera and mouse in such a way that you point actual track – not some road or building above it or you might be sorry.
To be clear – you cannot see people after they go underground (same as you cannot see them when they go between platforms in vanilla stations), nor actual platforms (there are no physical tunnels, walls, roofs etc, unless you of course imagine them).
