The first Robot Master ever built, and Mega Man’s older brother that’s powered by an unstable nuclear core.
Proto Man is a mid-ranged Projectile Zoner that does the best when he’s close enough to the opponent to get hits in without getting hit himself. Make sure to space your projectiles options well to close the distance.
He is designed to be an "Echo Fighter" of Smash Ultimate’s Mega Man, so if you have any experience with Mega Man in that game, you should do relatively fine with Proto Man.

Notiable Attacks:
Jab/FTilt/Nair – Proto Buster
Much like Mega Man in actual Smash, Proto Man shares 3 of his normals so he has access to firing his Buster while being able to walk and jump with them.
Neutral Special – Shadow Blade
Proto Man tosses out a shuriken that can be aimed in 8 directions. It boomerrangs back after a set distance.
This functions very similarly to Mega Man’s Shadow Blade Custom Move in Smash 4.
Side Special – Hard Knuckle
Unlike Crash Bomber, this projectile takes longer to come out in exchange for strength. Much like in Mega Man 3, you can hold up or down to have the Fist arc in said direction while moving forward.
Down Special – Star Crash
Summons a shield that he can move with much like his younger brother. Hold Special to keep the shield out longer. Eventually a throw is forced to happen, tossing the shield in the direction he’s facing.
Passive – Proto Shield
Whenever Proto Man jumps, does Dash Attack (first 3 frames), or does Back Air (first 3 frames), he can reflect any incoming projectiles as these use his shield.
