Melodies Of Eranshahr
Hello and welcome to Melodies of Eranshahr!
It is a music mod, adding tracks for the Iranian heritage group.
Predominately targeted for PERSIAN culture, best played with Legacy of Persia DLC. 🙂
(although Legacy of Persia is not required for this mod.)
The best I can explain to you what content you can expect is through a series of Q/A, so here we go:
Q: How many tracks?
A: As of mod release day, there are 31 tracks available, with more being planned.
Q: Is there a playlist somewhere, where I can listen to the tracks, before downloading the mod?
A: Yes! Most of the tracks from this mod are in my Youtube playlist. Here it is: https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLXFnZX5uNeBgyagMO34c2ubF_WzqDTmMs&si=mNQYjZukAh75hDi4
Q: How good is the music quality?
A: I have purchased all the tracks from websites suggested by original authors. None of the tracks will contain sighs, claps, boos, cheers, scratching sounds or anything not intended by the authors. They are original musical tracks, only tampered by me in the volume department. Goal is to provide a playlist that fits seamlesly with the CK3 soundtrack.
Q: Speaking of volume, how loud is the music?
A: For some reason, it is rather tricky to adjust volume for each track, using the CK3 code. As such, I had to edit tracks and reduce their volume directly. My desire is to match the volume of the mod tracks with the game tracks. Curent level of loudness is what I personally find appropriate. Please comment if a track is making your ears bleed, although I tried hard to adjust everything.
Q: Are there any vocals in the tracks?
A: Very few. Vast majority of tracks have no vocals whatsoever. Those few that do, only have a few seconds of vocals.
Q: Are tracks in this mod 100% culturally accurate and appropriate for the Persian culture during the Middle Ages, performed by authentic musical instruments, using restored musical notes from a cave in Persepolis?
A: No. There are many tracks that are outside the CK3 game period, predominately inspired by earlier periods, such as from Achaemenid and Sassanid Persia. Songs are merely inspired by those periods, performed by talented modern artists.
Q: Well, if these tracks are not "fully immersive" with the historical period, does that mean they are epic, modern and loud ear blasters and blood pumpers?
A: Again, no. This mod aims to provide a fine balance between culturally appropriate, authentic and entertaining music, that would fit your gaming experience.
Q: Is this mod compatible with other mods?
A: Yes, it is compatible with absolutely everything.
Q: Can I use this mod, even though Paradox Launcher says it is outdated?
A: Yes, almost 100% sure it will work properly. There’s a slim chance that Paradox decides to update the code for music files. I will strive to keep this mod updated, but you should in any case have no worries whatsoever that this mod gets broken due to a game update.
Q: Do you plan to release more music mods?
A: Yes! I would love to create a mod of similar size for Byzantine culture, followed by Spanish and Slavic. Hopefully.
Q: Who are the authors of the tracks?
A: Most of the tracks are composed by a stunning author Farya Faraji. He’s an incredibly talented creator from Iran, who composes songs for many cultures across the world. This is his Youtube channel: https://www.youtube.com/@faryafaraji/about I heartily recommend that you subscribe to his channel and like his videos. If anything, just view his videos, it will boost his popularity, allowing him to dedicate more time to his talent. It is most deserving, considering the quality of content he delivers. You can also purchase his songs on https://faryafaraji.bandcamp.com/
Another shoutout is for Justin Breame, for his amazing work on https://www.premiumbeat.com/artist/justin-breame No words to describe his work, you must hear it for yourself.
Q: Can you change something in the mod?
A: Yes, anything the community wants. I can remove the songs you dislike for some reason. I can add whatever you want, as long as it fits the overall theme of the mod. I can reduce or increase the loudness of tracks. Be free to post suggestions and criticisms!
Thank you for visiting this mod! Hope you enjoy the tracks, if you decide to subscribe.
Have a good one!
