Alternative Tier III – DLC

This mod is a DLC upgrade for the base game mod ‘Alternative Tier III’.
Please refer to Alternative Tier III for general mod description and all base game units.

This mod adds an alternative Tier III unit for all DLC cultures.
All Alternative Tier III units are based on the original Tier III units with a twist.
They should feel like a logical alternative specialisation for the original unit.
AI can recruit the new Tier III units and they will be distributed to the spawn points (on new game).

Current DLCs supported:

>Ways of War

Reaver: Gunner
Ranged Infantry
Fire Heavy Magelock (Mod* Repeating attack, 2 optimal range, 5 max range, 90% base accuracy, base 14 damage per hit, Piercing: Ignore 50% of the target’s Defense. Breaching: Ignore 50% of the target’s Resistance.)
Smoke and Thunder (Mod* Full action, 2 optimal range, 5 max range, 90% base accuracy, 2 turn cooldown, 36 damage, breaks defense and retaliation, Piercing: Ignore 50% of the target’s Defense. Breaching: Ignore 50% of the target’s Resistance.)
Mark Target (Inflict 2 Marked for 3 turns. Zero cost action, Range 3, 2 turn cooldown.)
Focused Aggression (This unit’s attacks gain: Ranged or Magic attacks: +10% damage per stack of Marked on the target. Melee attacks: 60% chance of inflicting Marked. Effects are increased for non-repeating attacks.)
Master Skirmisher (After attacking, this unit regains half their Action Points but can no longer attack.)

Primal: Wildhart
Shock Cavalry
Primal Boon (Dependent on Primal Animal selected for culture, also modifies base attack damage.)
Primal Renewal (Remove all Fury stacks, Heal 5 temporary hit points per stack removed, Enter defence mode.)
Master Skirmisher (After attacking, this unit regains half their Action Points but can no longer attack.)
Swift (This unit ignores the effects of Slowing terrain in combat.)
First Strike (When attacked, a unit with First Strike will use a Retaliation Attack to attack first.)
Slippery (This unit does not trigger Opportunity Attack.)

Oathsworn: Oathseeker
Fighter Cavalry
First Strike (When attacked, a unit with First Strike will use a Retaliation Attack to attack first.)
Polearm (+40% damage against Cavalry and Large Target units.)
Momentum (+20% damage per hex travelled, up to 3 hexes.)
Sweeping Cleave (Attacks units in a 1-hex cone, Target is pushed back by 1 hex, Base damage 14, Affected by Momentum, 1 Action Point, 1 turn cooldown.)

This mod is compatible with all base game Languages.
All unit assets and text are copied from the base game.
This mod should be compatible with almost everything (except mods that alter the lean horse and horse manes modularity – see below).
Modified Monster_Horse_Modularity.rpk components: Mount – Horse Lean, Mount – White Horse Manes, Mount – Horse Manes, Horse Mount Saddle and Reins – Scout. ‘Leader Mounts’ tag added to conditional logic for each entry.
This is required to allow hero mounts to be assigned to custom units without having to use the ‘melee cavalry’ tag which breaks alignment of weapons. In addition, it allows assigning a larger range of weapons to custom cavalry units while allowing them to retain ‘steeds’ (heavy horses) and horse armour.
This mod modifies the Culture_Primal.rpk ‘Primal Subculture – Unit Properties’ entries to add melee based damage bonuses based on subculture.
As such this mod should be compatible with everything except mods also editing the ‘Primal Subculture – Unit Properties’ i.e. mods adding completely new abilities linked to Primal Subcultures.
