Simonov’s AG-043 – Assault Rifle Carbine
This is…. an odd weapon designed by one of greatest weapon designers Sergei Gavrilovich Simonov. In my opinion there isn’t much in depth info on this gun while researching and I have no answers just opinions.
Well it’s said that XM177’s effectiveness during the Vietnam War made GRAU launched Project Modern (To compete against the AR platform) and Simonov designed this. It did compete compete against Kalashnikov’s AKS-74U, but the Kalashnikov’s was of more in favor (Kalash’s Magic)
