Baureihe 242 Holzroller
After the 2. World War, east-germany needs new locomotive for any freight-transport, because the old vehicles were completely obsolete or send to other countries as a repair service. The german engineers had no experience to build new electric trains and they rebuild old locomotives to learn and study the technology. The new locomotive E42 was built by these informations.
From 1962 to 1976, 292 locomotives were built. Today: Some private railways are still in use the BR 242 in Germany and Switzerland.
The vehicle was originally created and published by me for Train Fever. I have adapted this model for transport fever with all the new features.
