Scrap Core Crafting
The Workshop, Scrap Armor, Scrap Weapons, and Scrap Guns are required because this mod overwrites their recipes and functions.
Crafting Enhanced Core is needed, because this mod uses workshops from it.
This mod doesn’t copy any of the original author’s work and doesn’t replace any original files, instead, it uses LUA functions to patch existing recipes and functions to improve it.
The Engineer is not mandatory, but this mod integrates with it with some improvements.
– Makes some advanced CRAFTING recipes require the Mechanic table
– Dismantling recipes are left as is, so you can still disassemble electronics on the go.
– Engineer profession no longer teaches the same huge range of recipes, it’s powerful as is
– Removes Scrappy Blunderbuss crafting (Scrap Guns mod has Slamfire Shotgun with a similar role, with custom model and ammo)
– Moves gunpowder making to Scrap guns magazines, it requires a laboratory table
– Due to removal of gun crafting from magazines, reorders recipes in magazines: Magazine 1 now gives most of basic recipes, magazine 2 gives advanced recipes, magazine 3 gives the most complex recipes such as generators.
Yaki’s Makeshift clothing is not mandatory, but this mod integrates with it with some improvements.
– You can use solid rubber from Yaki’s makeshift clothing instead of tires for tire pauldrons.
– You can rip normal tires and disassemble wheels to get Yaki’s solid rubber material in addition to scrap metal.
Scrap Armor tweaks is an item balancing mod. Because "Scrap Core Crafting" doesn’t touch items, it is fully compatible and recommended. It reduces crazy bullet protection original mod has on scrap armors, reduces the huge weight of each item, and stops items from having holes (zombies will no longer bite off pieces of your roadsigns).
The mod makes all recipes use "Crafting Enhanced Core" buildable workshop instead of very heavy "item" workshops from original scrap mods.
– Removes Metalwork Workbench and Propane Furnace very heavy items that "simulated" workshops
– Makes use of Crafting Enhanced Core "Forge", "Tailoring", "Mechanic" and "Armory" tables.
– Most of armor crafting, metal smelting and disassembling is done at Forge.
– Car disassembling is done at Mechanic table.
– Gun crafting is done at Armory table.
– A lot of recipes require workbenches now.
– Upgrading SAR with bayonet no longer deletes magazine and attachents (they are preserved now)
– You don’t need to read magazines to tie a knife to SAR.
– You don’t need to read magazines to put scrap shrapnel/scrap ammo in a box.
– Most of modded car parts can be used in Car disassembling process, not only vanilla parts.
– 2×4 disassembling returns a plank + you can disassemble vanilla spiked planks back to planks.
– Scrap shells box weighs as much as the contents instead of double.
– Huge bullet box models are a bit smaller.
– Removed airtank from scrap guns recipes, as it’s a very rare item you can only get from fireman jacket.
After some time, I plan to make a patch for Real Metalcrafting, to be a part of the same workshop framework.
