UK & Ireland Large (4k) Map – with or without industry
A UK & Ireland shaped map with various hand placed towns, although position may not be accurate.

UK [L] Orig – The original version, unchanged
UK [L] Alt
UK [L] Alt (No Industry)
The orig version contains 14 locations with engine generated industry.
The Alt version contains 31 locations with engine generated industry.
The Alt (No industry) contains 31 locations without industry (aside from 1 farm and 1 food plant)
With the Alt versions, it is highly likely that a few locations will ‘merge’, which should provide a more realistic setting later in the game, putting more emphasis on the longer distance routes but also requiring fast transport between neighboring locations to compete with personal transport.
I have also changed the terrain limits so the Alt version is is a lot smoother and easier to build on.
Some screenshots above show the ALT map with vegetation increase mod, on a somewhat developed map by around 1987, just to show how the cities could grow and look later game
