Description:

THE PRR S1 IS FINALLY HERE!

It was a while but it’s finally here

History:
The Pennsy S1 was made for the PRR in 1939 for fast passenger service, the design was made be Raymond Loewey.
The locomotive was named "the BIG engine" because of it’s size and weight. As cool as the S1 looks (In my opinion) it does have some problems.

1. Both the front and back trucks remove some of the weight from the drivers causing it to wheelslip.
2. Because of it’s size (Note: it’s even bigger than the Big Boys!) and because it’s a rigged frame locomotive, it needs wide curves and lots of clearance. that’s the reason why it runs between Chicago and Crestline.

After 7 years of service, the S1 was scrapped in 1949.

Note: it was also in the 1939 New York World Fair

I do apologize for the lettering on the tender

Let me know if I should make the Erie and Virginian Triplex Locomotives
