1977 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am
The Pontiac Firebird is an American automobile that was built and produced by Pontiac from the 1967 to 2002 model years. The Pontiac Firebird shared the Chevrolet Camaro’s platform and was built to compete with the Ford Mustang. This is the second generation Pontiac Firebird (1970-1981), which was delayed and launched on February 26, 1970 due to tooling and engineering problems. With the arrival of the 1970 model there was a facelift to replace the "Coke bottle" style, over the years there were more facelifts but keeping the original idea until 1981. In this 1977 facelift 4 rectangular headlamps were added and the snowflake wheel became an option for all Firebirds and was standard on the Y82 Appearance Package, this wheel could be replaced with Rally II wheels as a further option.
