Galaxy at War: BATTLEFRONT (14th Nov Update)
⠀
Grab a drink and some popcorn whilst you engage in a viewer’s experience of an entirely scripted AI battle on various planets utilising the expertly detailed maps made by LordDizzicusIII. Watch as the each faction duke it out to take control of all command posts on the map and win it for their side. You can either utilise the free-cam to gain full control of the camera to view whatever you please or enter the ‘cinematic’ mode whilst you sit back and let the battle happen. This was made as a proof of concept.
Each side has 3 or 5 waves of infantry every 5 minutes depending on how many of the opposing faction has been eliminated. Capturing command posts grants infantry and spawns armoured vehicles for the infantry to use. The central zone is where the peak of the action happens as both sides try to gain map control. Both factions have heroes/villains which fight for their side respectively. The game automatically finishes when all command posts are captured by one of the factions.

BATTLEFRONT is a project inspired by the 2004/2005 games by Pandemic Studios. This side project aims to recreate the game in Men of War: Assault Squad 2 using the Star Wars: Galaxy at War mod. The audience of this mod is aimed for those who are content creators, average players, those who want to relax, and those who may not be gifted in using/having time for the GEM editor.
