Tabletop Squad Sizes – Start Squads at Min

Description:

This is an attempt to bring Gladius squad sizes closer to Tabletop max squad sizes. Most vehicles / monstrous creatures have been formed into squadrons / broods too. Unit costs and upkeep have been adjusted accordingly per less / additional squad member.

All squads will start the game at their minimum squad number as per tabletop (based on 9th Edition rules)! In order to increase max squad size, there are 2 new faction wide upgrades in the research tree at Tier 4 and 8 called, "Add Squad Members". If you’d prefer to have squads not require research to increase squad size up to max and start the game at their maximum squad size, please use this alternative:

Units that always have an individual unit model are given the Character trait as per Tabletop unit listings. This works as a check for those units receiving the Look Out Sir! trait while adjacent to allied infantry squads, Vehicles, and Monstrous Creatures.

The Look Out Sir! trait while active (once the unit is no longer adjacent to allied infantry squads, Vehicles, and Monstrous Creatures, the trait is removed), prevents enemy units from shooting ranged weapons at the Character. Flyers, Vehicles, and Monstrous Creatures cannot receive the Look Out Sir! trait however.

I’ve also buffed the Fortification trait to make HQs and the various Fortification units more tanky and have more firepower to fend off enemy hordes. Assaulting a HQ shouldn’t be an easy task and requires the necessary tools and tactics to be successful.

I will also be working on an Epic Squad Sizes mod in the future. Please feel free to leave any constructive feedback.

Place this mod in the load order ABOVE any other mods that modify unit groups.
