Authority is the capacity to effect top-down internal change in your country. This mod makes it so that as the institutions of state become more robust, the state has a greater capacity to effect change, as well as adjusting some laws to better suit this concept.
It was strange that laws like police and internal security don’t give authority, so this mod fixes that. Inversely, guaranteed liberties now lose authority, but investing further in the home affairs institution can regain it.
The authority of the state now exists beyond simple traditional authoritarianism, while still emphasising the power of authoritarian regimes.
Compatibility:
Overwrites only the specific laws modified. Will be compatible with any mod that adds laws or changes ones this mod does not touch. If they do clash and you prefer these laws giving authority, putting this mod after in the playlist mod load order should work.
