Ceiling Construct V: Epilogue
am back from my 4-5 day hiatus for real
ceiling construct is back, for the farewell tour (totally real, no cap)
This is the Epilogue to end the USRG story (..or not, who knows)
And yes, this is a sequel to Ceiling Construct III. Not Ceiling Construct IV
After the USRG moved out of the Ceiling Communications Center, after a accident within the workplace happened, Mr.Greer was appointed to a new base to hold out for the time being, as the US goverment was sorting out moving all their equipment and everything to work on Project Opus.
The base was about as big as the Communications Center the workers noted, but it felt ever so more empty, without the knowledge of what was in one sector.
It harkened back to a time in 1955 when they were moving into that crummy Warehouse that nobody liked, except for Greer.
The Facility several sectors.
-Residental Sector, for several workers
-Storage Rooms #1 and #2, obviously for storage
-Offices Sector, for working with communications
-Presentation Room, for meetings and announcements.
However, there was one sector that was prevented from people to enter. It was called the Containee Sector. Several higher-up people were seen walking in, Including a new recruit to the team, having a undisclosed role.
Workers questioned. They speculated for days on end trying to figure out what it meant. Were they holding people hostage in there? Were they containing aliens? What could it possibly be?
Working in the place was running rather smoothly. Everyone seemed to love the place. That was until, an accident in the workplace happened, yet again.
In the containee sector, the unnamed role of the person who kept going in and out was a warden, tasked with watching over "Containees", who the US goverment delivered to the USRG to hold for evaulations and more.
The warden was found murdered, as his body fell into the "Containee Disposal Pit", crushing his body, and only leaving his arm behind.
A hazmat crew went in and discovered the left-over remains of the carcass, calling Mr. Greer to "see this".
He saw the carcass, and was absolutely horrified. How could someone do this?
He soon hired a detective to interview the employees. When being asked why he wanted this, Mr. Greer asked a question. If he could reveal the truth to the workers.
The detective didn’t say what he should do, but said to "do whatever he wanted to do".
Mr. Greer felt like it was time to reveal the truth to the workers, as he held a conference, discussing about what the sector was meant for. Workers were appalled. Some felt sick to their stomach.
A little while later, the Detective recieves a message.
It is from the killer who killed the Warden, saying he had "six lives" on his plate to kill. All of them being accused with corruption, and covering up one of his personal friends situations.
This killer was dubbed, "The Phantom", as he killed when nobody was looking.
Soon, the Phantom struck again, as he killed two workers. Their names were Richard Greer and Daniel Woodlen. Workers were shocked that those two were murdered, as they seemed innocent to them.
The detective went around, asking the workers questions, and seeing who was the most suspicious to possibly be the killer.
All the employees were interviewed, and yet, another murder happened.
It was in the Storage Room #1 area, where there was a message, smeared in blood saying.. "See, what I see."
The killer had a twisted view, that was what was sure enough.
The detective could not quite narrow down who the suspect was, and later, the case gone cold.
Another killing happened, as a worker was placed in a hangman’s trap, with the ladder collapsing underneath her, killing her.
He was running out of time. The detective needed to figure out who it was. There were some suspects, sure. But they seemed more scared then anything to possibly be the murderer.
That was until, the detective recieved another note from the killer. It was a three page letter discussing how he put innocents into cells, just because he did not like them. He planted false evidence onto them and let them get thrown in jail. While the guilty, walked away free from any crime.
He was later never heard from again, as one of the workers noticed the Phantom running across him. He decided to presue chase, cornering him near the pit of the Containee Sector.
The same worker told Mr. Greer he had shot him, knowing who it was. They later found his body, and identified it to be [REDACTED].
After that tragedy happened within the USRG, they stopped going public, as any mention of them ceased to be. Seemingly dissappearing into obscurity. Theories were made as to why, but no one could guess.
-UNKNOWN AMOUNT OF TIME LATER-
You are a big-time investigator, who had gotten popular by exploring the USRG locations, from 1955 to 1961.
Somehow, you recieve a message from a client with USRG ties yet again to visit the place, and make sure "He" was dead.
You set out with your group, as you felt a gust of wind hit you in the face, when you entered through the exit door, and into the base.
ASSEMBLE THE FINAL PIECES

That’s about it.
Ceiling Construct is offically finished (for the time being, I’m not too sure) as a story, spanning from 1-5.
For those who played through CC1-CC5, thank you!
